I don't often get so inspired by an album that I make a whole show around it - this week's the exception. A good friend and local blues harp player, Tim Boggs, gave me a copy of Junior Wells' "Come On In This House." I'm hooked. The album's Junior at the absolute peak of his powers, singing and blowing his ass off, clearly inspired by the batch of amazingly talented slide guitar players he picked to work with him. Today, I'm playing a ton of music from that album, along with solo stuff from all the guests (Corey Harris, Alvin "Youngblood" Hart, Sonny Landreth, Bob Margolin, John Mooney, and Derek Trucks). This is gonna be a party.
