Happy 4th of July! It is once again time for our annual showing of Celebratory Expolsive Prowess. Here at TWIS we decided that this week it would be fun (and appropriate) to discuss the science and history behind our favorite things that go boom. And, who better to discuss them with than William Gurstelle, our favorite technological adventurer. His books, Adventures from the Technology Underground and Backyard Ballistics, are great forays into the do-it-yourself attitude of many amateur scientists, engineers, and inventors across the US.
