Show Description for Tuesday 12/04/2007
Children are uniquely senstiive to pesticide and other environmental exposure. Studies by Dr Asa Bradman and the Children's Environemental Health Center as part of the National Children's Health Study found siginificant levels of pesticide on the clothes, and dust of farmer worker children. Another study found that DDT buildup in mother's systems transfered to their children. Tianna talks to Dr. Bradman about his work with the Center and some of his findings.

Host Emeritus Kendra Johnson is back to talk to Roosevelt Tarlesson, an organic grower in the Capay, as part of our new series, Exploring the Capay. Roosevelt shares his experiences as an immigrant farmer in California and describes the process of securing his land in Guinda.
