Life in 24 frames clear my name of these sins. starting with me and you would be a good place to begin immobilized, with this guilt shackled to my ankle like a 2 ton weight. so throw me and watch me sink. or maybe ill just jump either way, the tide is getting higher and im on the brink gasping for breath i take one last slow blink when my eyes open up the water is surrounding realize that you are gone, and my heart starts pounding the pressure is intense, and my tissue is paper thin its only a matter of time before this broken heart caves in. on my way to the bottom its just memories of you until the speed of my decent, rips those away too and as i start to panic, and reach out towards my fleeding mind i wonder where you've gone, and miss what ive left behind but its too late for regret, im almost to the bottom to be buried with the ship wrecks, and loves lost this autumn so fill these lungs with water, they are of no use to me if im not breathing you in, i may as well not be its getting darker now, and i fear ive hit the base i miss the mornings early light, and those freckles on your face but as i lay here on this bed of sorrow, its too late for me to beg without my memories, my heart my eyes, and you, i am NOTHING, with this guilt strapped to my leg..... http://www.myspace.com/yellyes

The Reaction the conditions of the Reaction's activity explain both its discipline and the forms of hostility it encounters. they are interested not in finding a niche in the present artistic edifice, but in undermining it. the Reaction is in the catacombs of visible culture. our times thus compel us, once again, to write in a new way. some elements will be intentionally omitted; and the plan will have to remain unclear. listeners will encounter certain decoys, like the very hallmark of the era. as long as certain notes are interpolated here and there, the overall meaning may appear: just as secret clauses have very often been added to whatever treaties may openly stipulate;just as some chemical agents only reveal their hidden properties when they are combined with others. however, there will be only too many things which are, alas, easy to understand. the Reaction seeks to convey the tenuous balance between object and action by which they maintain the tentative relations with the forces they organise, and how they are inherently subject to change, capable of resisting closure and objectification by acknowledging and engaging NOISE . http://www.myspace.com/thereactionsf

The Pyronauts This is a review from www.x2rr.com from when we played The Garage in L.A.----The first band of the night was called the Pyronauts, from Sacramento, CA. From the looks of the band, I thought I was in for some heavy metal along the lines of Slayer or early Metallica. They were all heshed out with long hair, sideburns, etc. Then they broke into some supersonic surf instrumentals. These guys are a surf band?? That is a great look to keep the judgemental scenesters off guard. I really dug their sound a lot! These guys are some seriously good surf guitar players, the bass player and the drummer were also excellent. These guys were loud! They played to a pretty empty bar and they still played with a ton of energy. You could tell these guys were going to have a good time on stage regardless of how few people showed up. Mind you, their set started about 8:30 PM on a Saturday night. They finished off their set with an absolutely rippin’ cover of Dick Dales’ “Misirlou” which you should recognize as the opening song for the movie “Pulp Fiction”. I’ve seen quite a few surf bands in my time, the thing I liked about these guys is that they didn’t fit the mold fashion-wise, but they also sped their songs up more than enough to keep things interesting. I can’t think of how many times I’ve wanted to throw up when I’ve heard bands just go through the motions when it comes to playing surf stuff. That mid tempo, jangly formula that invokes the image of yuppies sipping the coffee at sunset on the strand. These guys invoke images of someone skulking around the public restroom with a knife waiting to mug you for your surfboard while taking a shit break from the waves. Keep your Hawaiian shirts in the closet where they belong, kids, there’s a new game in town, and they’re called the Pyronauts. The last time I saw a surf band that did anything for me was the Bomboras, but these guys give me faith that surf music can be something worth hearing live. http://www.myspace.com/thepyronauts

Bob Woods is arguably one of the best guitarists in the Sacramento Region, be it going toe to toe with the legendary Albert Lee with Sticky Vikki and the Pinecones, or perhaps guitaring for the infamous Chuck Wagon (who can forget Chuck's claim to fame "Disco Sucks"!)

MIDDAY VEIL Midday Veil began as the musical offspring of David Golightly, a classically trained composer and vintage synth freak, and Emily Pothast, a visual artist, singer-songwriter and suspected reincarnation of Hildegard von Bingen. The current lineup also includes Timm Mason (aka Debacle/Aphonia solo artist Mood Organ) on baritone guitar and Chris Pollina on drums and the occasional banjo. Midday Veil has also collaborated, recorded, and communed extensively with multi-instrumentalist Simon Henneman (of Diminished Men and Mt. Non Fiction Records). Eluding tidy categorization, Midday Veil draws from an ever-deepening well of influences including sacred and world music, folk, drone, blues, metal, avant-garde, free jazz, new age and krautrock.
