Crying

Today is a day where we must remember people who have died on behalf of what they thought was freedom.  In a tragic twist of fate, less than 15 hours ago, nine people were killed for the same reason in a flotilla where one of the ships bore the name of a young woman who believed that she too could make a difference. Rachel Corrie. She never expected the young Israeli soldier who was driving a bulldozer to actually drive over her as she stood in defense of the Palestinian home scheduled for destruction.

This tragedy has gone on long enough.  Yes, I wish the Palestinians would stop firing their rockets into Israel.  It is a pathetic effort to counteract the decades of daily abuse and deprivation at the hands of Israel.  No violence is justified, but it is understood.

I fear something ugly, or shall I say uglier, is about to occur.  This was such a blatant attack and videos can be found on the Internet if you care to look at them.  I beg of you to inform yourself, in spite of whenever you believe, as to what really is going on.  All I can say is the same thing I said that day I was on the air when the attacks on the World Trade Center occurred.  May saner heads prevail.
